Aliran realisme dibagi menjadi dua bagian; Aliran Realisme Sosial dan Aliran Realisme Psikologis.

1. Aliran realisme Sosial adalah aliran realisme murni. Aliran ini banyak membincangkan realita dilingkungan sosial yang pincang serta mengajukan protes-protes akibat ketidak adilan dan kesenjangan sosial.
