Instruktur atau seseorang menggetarkan salah satu bagian tubuhnya, misalnya kaki, dan kemudian melempar getaran tersebut kepada orang lain.

Teater adalah salah satu cabang seni pertunjukan yang paling kompleks karena di dalamnya memuat beragam unsur seni yang dapat digunakan sebagai media ekspresi estetis dalam setiap karyanya. 

Dengan demikian secara alamiah teater membutuhkan proses kerjasama kolaboratif antaranasir yang terlibat di dalamnya. Karena begitu beragamnya unsur yang terlibat atau dapat dilibatkan, seni teater dapat ditinjau dan dipelajari dari bergaram sisi pula. Ada karya teater yang lebih mengedepankan unsur rupa, namun ada pula karya teater yang mengedepankan gerak, musik, kata-kata atau bahkan meramu semuanya ke dalam satu bentuk pertunjukan.

Memperkuat karakter seorang aktor

Seorang aktor tentu saja ingin setiap peran yang dia mainkan menjadi kuat dan ber"nas". Sutradara tentu saja telah mengupayakan bagi para aktornya menemukan "jalan" dalam mendekati dan memasuki peran tersebut melalui latihan-latihan yang dilakukan.

Salah satu cara ialah dengan ber monolog. Akan tetapi ini bukan monolog biasa, ini adalah monolog yang bisa menggali apa yang ada dalam benak dan pikiran si aktor terhadap peran, cerita, peran lain, dan berbagai macam hal berkaitan dengan perannya dalam cerita tersebut.

Seorang pemain maju ke depan dan ia membuat pose tertentu sambil meneriakkan sebagai apa ia, misalnya: “aku adalah pohon” (sambil berpose sebagai pohon).

Pemain lain datang dan melengkapi gambar tentang pohon itu dengan ucapan dan pose, misal: “aku sebagai rantingya”, atau “aku sebagai pagar di samping pohon”, atau “aku menjadi rumah di samping pagar”, dan seterusnya sampai semua pemain mendapatkan gilirannya dan lukisan menjadi lengkap.
